The 22nd World Meeting on Sexual Medicine, hereafter referred to as WMSM, is organized by International Society for Sexual Medicine (ISSM).

The ISSM values and respects your individual privacy and is committed to protecting it. This Privacy Policy explains how the ISSM collects, uses and safeguards information collected through its meeting website www.wmsm.org, hereafter referred to as the ‘Site’, or the registration website https://app.statusplus.net/wmsm/yokohama2020/registration and all underlying folders of the registration form  .

Information Collection

When you browse the Site and do not interact with the site for any online service or product, you browse anonymously. Personally identifiable information is not collected as you browse.

Google Analytics
We use a tool called “Google Analytics” to collect information about use of this site. Google Analytics collects information such as how often users visit this site, what pages they visit when they do so, and what other sites they used prior to coming to this site. We use the information we get from Google Analytics only to improve this site. Google Analytics collects only the IP address assigned to you on the date you visit this site, rather than your name or other identifying information. We do not combine the information collected through the use of Google Analytics with personally identifiable information. The ISSM invites EU citizens to opt-in to commercial or promotional electronic mailings. For this, your explicit consent is required during the registration process of the meeting. Electronic email will not be sent to any EU citizen that has not actively granted permission to do so.

The ISSM sends "transactional or relational email messages," which include, but are not limited to, electronically transmitted news, informational bulletins, meetings and member-benefit announcements, and surveys. You may opt-out of a specific email list by following the "unsubscribe" instructions of any email message sent to you from the ISSM or its component or affiliated organizations. If you are an EU citizen, you will be asked to explicitly give the ISSM permission to send these types of messages. Additionally, the ISSM will:

Individuals, registering for the WMSM through the Site, are required to provide personally identifiable information. This information is temporarily retained in the WMSM database. We retain your personal data for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Site, newsletters, and Standard Set subscriptions to you, or as otherwise required by law.  Due to inactivity we may contact you to see if you still wish us to hold your data or if we should delete it.

WMSM attendee email addresses may be made available to other WMSM attendees through the WMSM dedicated meeting application. The ISSM does not share, rent or sell email addresses to commercial vendors. 

Information Sharing

The ISSM may disclose your personal information if required to do so by law or in the good-faith belief that such action is necessary to: (a) conform to legal requirements or comply with legal process served on the ISSM; (b) protect and defend the rights or property of the ISSM; or (c) protect the personal safety of the ISSM / WMSM staff or members of the public in urgent circumstances.

Banner Advertising

Banner advertisements on the Site do not collect any personally identifiable information on individual visitors. The ISSM does collect aggregate data on visitors such as time of day and web browser type, which may be shared with advertisers to determine their advertising effectiveness.

Information Safeguarding

User ID and Password
To access the Site, no user ID or password are required.

You should be aware, browser software often "caches" a page as you look at it, meaning some pages are saved in your computer's temporary memory. Therefore, you may find when clicking on your "Back" button it shows you a saved version of a previously viewed page. Caching in no way affects the security of your confidential user ID or password.

This Site may contain links to or from other websites e.g. to our partnering organizations or other medical associations, etc. The ISSM cannot take any responsibility for the privacy practices of other websites. This Privacy Policy applies only to the information we collect on the Site. SSL Technology
The ISSM realizes the importance of security, so we have taken steps to enhance the protection of information sent to or from The ISSM over the Internet. We require a "secure session" be established, using Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology, each time you supply or access information in a secure online area. SSL technology creates a private conversation only your computer and the ISSM-systems can understand. The SSL technology encodes information as it is being sent over the internet between your computer and systems used by the ISSM, helping to ensure the transmitted information remains confidential.

No data transmission over the internet can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. Accordingly, and despite all efforts, the ISSM cannot guarantee or warrant the security of any information you transmit to us, or to or from our online products or services.
